Andover Hosting Refugee Family

Kentucky Refugee Ministry (KRM) has asked First Church Andover to host a refugee family fleeing from Iraq. We have agreed to help this family of five make the transition to the US and in particular Lexington, KY. We expect the family to arrive on July 22nd or 23rd and be ready to move into an apartment that we will be furnishing for them. In addition to furnishings for the apartment, we need to provide transportation for them as the make their way to the Social Security office and other places within the first couple of weeks. With a family of five, we are looking for people with mini-vans who would be available to provide some transportation. Please check this site often as we will be providing additional details as they become available.
