Andover Preview Service September 30th

Just a reminder that we will be having the second preview service this Sunday night at 5:00pm. This will be a service of Consecration and Commissioning. All of our First Church family is invited. Please mark your calendars and plan on helping us place the building into God's hands for ministry to the Andover community.

One Down, One to Go, October 7th drawing near

The first preview service this past Sunday night was a special time for the people of First Church.  The group of people in attendance had a great spirit about them as we spent the evening worshiping, debriefing and eating cake.  Over 100 people came out to inaugurate the soon to be readied sanctuary and classrooms space.  One of the highlights for me was to see the choir loft filled with smiling faces making beautiful music under the direction of Richard Dwyer.  To think that they were far enough along to sing an anthem for our first service is truly incredible.  

Many thanks go to the group of dedicated volunteers for their long hours last week getting ready.  We are getting close to being completely ready for guests on October 7th.

For those unable to make it this past Sunday, go ahead and mark your calendars for this Sunday, September 30th, at 5:00pm.  We will have the second preview service.  The worship service will include a consecration of the building as well as a commissioning of the people who will be helping to make First Church Andover a beacon of light and love to the community.

New Dates for Preview Services: Sept 23 and 30th

The Andover campus has come a long way in a short two and one-half months. Volunteers have put in countless hours painting, cleaning, and bonding together, the trustees have been supportive and helpful at every turn, and our contractors have been working diligently to complete the facility. Our goal was to be ready for September 9^th and the first preview worship service. Even with all this hard work, we remain about two weeks away from being ready to do a Preview Service that would truly  be representative of the setting for worship First United Methodist Church Andover.

Therefore, rather than rushing things, we are going to take two more weeks to put the finishing touches on our sanctuary.  We are moving our September 9th service to September 30th at 5 p.m., making our revised schedule for preview services September 23rd and the 30th both at 5 p.m.

Please continue to pray for this effort as we grow close to our launch on October 7^th. We continue to see God™s hand at work in so many ways and are excited about First Church'€™s future ministry in Andover.

Terry Teykl Prayer Event Update

The event has been moved to Downtown due to a conflict with scheduling being resolved.  There is still room for you to attend the weekend as well as sign up for a 50 Days of Prayer Group.  There will be one at the Andover Campus on Thursday nights from 6:00-7:00pm starting September 13th.
